This is quinoa.
Enough of quinoa now. Located along Jalan Telawi 3, it is pretty hard to find parking here as there are many other famous eateries around here as well. Good luck on finding parking.
A very clean looking signboard.
By the way, it is located just beside Inside Scoop. Yummy. I LOVE their ice creams! During our visit, we had to wait around 15 minutes for a seat since the restaurant was full.
There is this cute little signboard at the front of this cafe.
Seems like everything is healthy here, from meat to veggies.

Book swap area
I find it interesting that they have this book swap going on here. You can take any book here from the bench and replace with your book, as long as your book is still in good condition and legible. Pretty good idea huh? After all the books that you have already read will be just sitting on your book shelve. Why not trade it with a book that you have yet to read?
Their main menu
Breakfast menu
Drinks menu
Their menu here is nothing ordinary with all the goodness in each dish. You can also opt to go vegan on some of their dishes here like the laksa. Prices of the items here are no doubt on the higher side but you have to take into consideration the quality of the ingredients used here. What's best here is that they also serve guilt-free desserts! We did not order any dessert on this trip. Maybe next time?
Free salad to start your meal when you order a main
Genmai Lui Cha (RM24 for Bario rice, RM40 for quinoa)
Traditional hakka lui cha usually taste very green but Ashley's version is much more clear and more of a Japanese taste. I don't usually fancy Hakka Tea Rice a.k.a lei cha but this is something that I can finish up by myself.
Is this a toast? Or is it not?
From far, it looked like a toast but it is actually tofu that came with the lui cha. The tofu is firm and decent tasting. Mix it into the rice and your bowl of rice will have very good texture.
Borneo Laksa (RM24 for vegan-grilled tofu, RM33 for prawn & egg)
This Borneo Laksa unfortunately, was a miss for us. When it was first served, it was totally tasteless and bland. After informing one of the servers there, she politely brought it into the kitchen to check on it. After a few minutes, she came and apologise to us saying that they made a mistake on this. Then, we got a new bowl of laksa which tasted more like laksa. However, it was still not something that we would come back for. I have to give them a kudos for such good service and most importantly admitting their mistakes.
Red Vege Burger (RM33)
The patty close up
With a patty made up from beets, mushroom and quinoa, it is definitely not a dry patty. Thick and red, it is matched beautifully with red yeast bun which also tasted really good. Top with what I believe to be alfafa sprouts and onion, this burger is filled with flavours. The side of seasonal vegetable for the day was baked sweet potatoes and yam. I did not fancy the yam which had somewhat of a luncheon meat texture. The sweet potato was good but it is pretty rare that sweet potato can taste bad.
I also got the Stress Combat (RM11 for 500ml) which I forgot to take a picture of it. It is a juice with leafy greens, banana and pineapple. This juice is quite delicious with the fragrance of pineapple and the sweetness of banana. You barely notice the taste of the green in it although it is green in colour.
Will I revisit? Yes, when I need my dose of healthy food.
