Mr. Wolf @ Taman SEA Review

If you drive along LDP towards Bandar Utama at night, you will notice Mr. Wolf's signboard on your left after passing by Taman Megah. Mr Wolf is a restaurant cum bar serving my favourite cuisine, Asian fusion.

Coming into the restaurant, it feels very neat and somewhat cozy. Their decor somehow feels very cafe-ish maybe because of the rather minimalist style.

Since it was pouring cats and dogs that evening, we easily managed to get a parking right in front of Mr. Wolf. It was no surprise that there was no patrons at all in this heavy rain.

Mr. Wolf occupies both the ground floor as well as the first floor but we chose to dine downstairs that evening. I really liked how the door to the stairs are designed. The font feels very wolf-ly.

Once we got into the restaurant, the waiter came immediately, handing us the menu. But what caught my eyes were the bright red hanging chair hammocks which looked super comfortable.

While waiting for our food to arrive, we sat on the hammock and it was quite comfortable indeed. It did not took them long to serve our food.

Tiger Beer Battered Soft Shell Crab Bun with Kimchi Mayo and Caramelized Onion (RM12)

They were thoughtful enough to cut the burger into two since we both were going to share it. This item is from the bar food menu in case you did not spot in on their main menu. The crispy soft shell crab really went well with the soft buns and the sauce was just as good as it can be. Do not forget to try this when you are here as you will not regret it!

Pan Fried Hokkaido  Scallop, Cauliflower puree, Avruga Caviar, Aojiso Truffle Dressing, French Beans and Quinoa (RM42)

Though when I asked for recommendation this scallop dish was not in one of them, I still went for it hoping it will be good. Perfect would be an understatement for this beautiful dish. The cauliflower puree tasted too good that I totally forgotten it was actually made from cauliflower instead of potatoes! The crispy quinoa also gave this dish more variety in texture. The scallop without doubt was cooked to perfection. For big eaters, this might be a tiny dish for you. So go order more bar food to fill you up.

Black Angus Striploin, Sweet Potato Puree, Maitake Mushroom and Capsicum, Yuzukusho and Truffle Jus (RM48)

My boyfriend was also unsure what to order but he went for the striploin being the meat eater he is. His verdict? A well seasoned and flavorful dish and it was cooked to perfectly medium as he requested. I also took a bite of his striploin and it was as good as my scallop although I still enjoyed my dish more.

Mr. Wolf is definitely the place to go if you are craving for finer food on a normal day. Prices here are subjected to GST and service tax as well if you are wondering.
